About
Born in Samarkand, I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from State Pedagogical University, where I began practicing Hatha yoga before moving to New York in 1997. While exploring different styles of yoga, including Kundalini and Naam, I decided to undertake formal training and certification. With yoga as my foundation, I went on to study Pilates (certified in 2005), GYROKINESIS®, GYROTONIC® (certified 2007, 2019). I use a therapeutic hands-on approach based on close observation of my client’s body and verbal cues to foster good health, an increase in strength, stamina, and self-awareness--therefore reducing the possibility for injury. Working extensively with physical therapists at rehabilitation facilities, I have not only helped clients suffering from lower back ailments, pre/post hip surgeries, shoulder, neck, joint pain and those needing posture alignment but with individuals navigating health conditions brought on by Parkinson’s Disease or recovering from cancer. My goal with each individual is to discover the method that will alleviate pain and improve their health and wellbeing.I enjoy my field immensely and embrace any occasion to expand my knowledge.I, too continue to study, delving into functional anatomy in addition to associated studies concerning dance therapy, the Feldenkrais method, the Alexander technique, Zero Balancing (ZB), Open Source Forms (OSF) and Kinesiofitness.
