Jane Gotch
About
Jane has been studying and teaching the GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods since 2001. She is a GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Specialized Master Trainer. In addition to the Level 1 curriculum, she teaches Archway Level 1, LEU, JSB, GYROTONER, GYROTONIC® Level 2 Pre-Trainings, and the Cardiovascular Breathing Courses. She is certified on all of the Specialized Equipment, in the Theraputic applications, and the curriculum for special populations.
She taught private and group sessions in New York, California, Israel, and India, and has been a guest instructor at Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico. She conducted the first GYROTONIC® educational programs in Kansas City, Israel and India. She is dedicated to continually learning more about the human body, the GYROTONIC® methodology, and movement. She has studied with Juliu Horvath the creator of the GYROTONIC® method, and many other Master Trainers.
She is also a Somatic Expereiencing Practioner. A trauma resolution and nervous system regulation modality based in the work and science of Dr. Peter Levine. Jane is invested in educating and treating the whole person. She aims to help her students create more resiliency in their physiology, nervous system and lives through movement education and the GYROTONIC® system.
Jane is originally from Omaha, NE, and brings with her a background as a professional modern and contemporary dancer, choreographer, teacher, and film maker. She graduated from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia in 2000 with a BFA with honors in modern dance. In 1998, she studied at the Alvin Ailey School in New York on a full scholarship from the Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey. She has danced and choreographed professionally in Philadelphia, New York, and Kansas City.
