About
EMILY KESSLER was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and was raised both on the East Coast and in Zurich, Switzerland. First introduced to the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM at the age of 15, Emily dove further into the method after she graduated from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance and moved to NYC. She currently lives in Brooklyn, dancing as a freelancer and choreographing under POGO Dance Projects.
Emily is an Authorized GYROTONIC® instructor (Billy Macagnone, Sebastian Plettenberg) and GYROKINESIS® Instructor (Paula Rivera, Erika Hassan) certified in Level 2 (Maria Holm), Jumping-Stretching Board (Don Friedewald), and GYROTONER® L1 & L2 (Don Friedewald), and has completed Pre and Post Natal Applications (Gina Paolillo) and Applications for Dancers L1 & L2 (Miriam Barbosa).
